Irene Marzona

Patient Access Consultant

Born in Friuli Venezia Giulia, she realized during high school at the Liceo Classico that science was what fascinated her the most. She completed her degree in Pharmacy at the University of Padua and, after a brief period of experience working in a community pharmacy, she joined the IRCCS Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research as a researcher.

She focused on clinical research, major clinical trials involving General Practitioners in the field of cardiovascular diseases, observational studies, and real-world retrospective studies in pharmacoepidemiology, contributing to the drafting of around 25 articles.

During a two-year overseas experience at the Population Health Research Institute in Hamilton (Canada), she also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Research Methodology.

In 2020, however, she realized that her curiosity about market access for medicines, which follows the clinical evidence phase, would lead her to deepen her knowledge in pharmaceutical market access. Thus, she “changed roles” and, for nearly five years, contributed to consulting projects for major pharmaceutical companies operating in Italy.

Joining Helaglobe represents an additional step that will further complete her consulting profile, with the goal of facilitating access in Italy to the most innovative therapies and technologies for “people with.”

Why do I work at Helaglobe?
