Barbara Vidili

Office Manager

Barbara was born in Sardinia in a seaside town, and after graduating high school, she decided to expand her horizons beyond the island by seizing the opportunity to move to Florence to study Sociology.

It was love at first sight with Florence. The city’s open and multicultural university environment fostered a mindset shift and an openness toward the new and the different.

This approach has continued into her professional journey: from conducting research and marketing interviews to recruiting and hiring; from event organization to logistics management for a well-known e-commerce focused on maternity and early childhood; and eventually, leading to her encounter with Helaglobe.

A word of advice: if you talk to her and she doesn’t respond, there are two possibilities: she’s either lost in thought, or she hasn’t heard you at all, as she’s been deaf in one ear since birth. Just don’t take it personally—try to get her attention in another way.

She believes in the importance of small things, little gestures, and the contagious power of kindness as a force for change, “that drop by drop creates an ocean within me” (quote).

Why do I work at Helaglobe?

I work at Helaglobe because it is a professional environment where each person’s unique traits are given space, valued, and motivated to pursue individual, team, and ethical goals.

Three adjectives to describe myself

Thoughtful, reserved, responsible.

Three standout personal qualities

Honest, punctual, empathetic.

Three essential qualities for my role:

Confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility.

Inspirational figures:

Gavroche, for his unconditional willingness to help others, the playfulness and irony with which he lives and lightens social and human misery.

Maria Montessori, for her revolutionary and open mind and because she showed us a way to build better societies; her determination and great self-confidence despite the challenges she faced.

Joanne Rowling, for her boundless imagination; her ability to address very complex themes in a way accessible to a young audience.

My professional aspirations:

To be able to carry out every task in my role independently and proactively.

My personal aspirations:

To improve myself both as a person and as a professional, always remembering that there is something to learn from every situation and every person, regardless of age, social status, or beliefs, throughout the journey of life.

My motto:

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.” — W. Churchill
